Numbers Are Odd
iPhone®/iTouch® puzzle game!
-Once you have placed numbers on empty fields you can move them by touching and dragging them around. If you place a number over a field with existing number it will replace the previous one. You can also drag numbers to the edges of the screen which will erase them.
-Click "Don't Panic!" button (bottom-left) to reveal the puzzle. Click again to obscure the solution.
-Click "Recycling Bin" button (top-left) to start a new puzzle. The old one will be erased.
-At Game Over screen tap the screen to start a new game.
Numbers Are Odd is a very simple game but it can be very addictive. The rules are simple: drag numbers from the bottom of the screen to empty game fields. You have to arrange numbers so that the horizontal sum of numbers between two puzzle posts matches the upper-right number on left puzzle post and the vertical sum of numbers matches the lower-left number on top puzzle post. To make things easier numbers between two posts, horizontal or vertical, are unique so you will not get a sequence of numbers like 3 3 5 or 3 5 3.
This game is meant to be played in a couple minutes that you can spare here and there and it is not meant to be frustrating. To that end there are two buttons that can help you if you are stuck. The button in the lower left corner ("Don't panic" button) will show you the puzzle numbers but it won't solve it. Touch this button once to show you the puzzle in case you need to verify that you are on track and touch it again to remove the overlaid solution. There are situations where there is more than one solution to the puzzle and it is possible that you will "solve" the puzzle and yet the game will refuse the solution. You should try to solve the puzzle some other way or if you are stuck touch the "Don't panic" button. This feature is by design as of now (depending on customers feedback) because it adds a bit of challenge to the game. Another button that will help you is in the top-left corner ("Recycling bin" button) and touching this button will generate a new puzzle. The best use of this button is before you start solving the puzzle as you can choose to generate different puzzles until you get one that you like. WARNING: touching this button in the middle of the game will start a new game without any confirmation options, so before you touch it be sure that you want to abandon the current puzzle.
There is no time limits and no time or score keeping at all. Play this game at your own pace and in the way you feel most satisfying.
